Hubs and I finally bought ourselves new cell phones to replace the $19.99 ones (top of photo) we bought five or six years ago. We at first bought other $19.99 ones to replace the old but those didn't work. Literally didn't work so we headed to Best Buy and found these Samsungs. More than we had planned to spend but we tend to keep things until they wear out so these should last us for years.
Do you like the pic of Callie as Hub's wallpaper? I have Bella on mine.
I crocheted us up some covers to keep them from getting scratched.
Simple little pattern:
Chain 8 (width of phone, add or subtract as needed)
Hdc in second chain from hook and in remaining chains.
Continue around with hdc in back of last chain stitched and in each stitch across.
You'll be working in one continuous circle so keep going with the Hdc until your cover reaches the right height. You'll need to stick your phone in to get correct size as your stitches should be sized to be a bit snug against the phone.
When you get to your desired height, flatten the piece and stop one stitch from the end of one side, slip stitch the next two stitches then tie off.
Weave in your ends then flip it right side out.
If you like you can weave yarn in and out of the top row to create a drawstring for security. I didn't do that with ours since the covers are snug and they won't be in a position where the phone could fall out. But if yours is tossed say in a backpack or loose in a purse, you might want the draw string.
